Sunday Worship Guide

Welcome to GCCC Arlington! We are so glad you’ve found us online, and we hope you’ll be able to connect with us in person, too.

As a church, we are growing into commitment to Christ, to his community, and to his cause. We’d love for you to be part of this and to find a spiritual home with Christ and with us.

When and Where

We worship together each Sunday from 11:00am to 12:20pm, at the DoubleTree Hotel in Pentagon City (300 Army Navy Drive, Arlington, VA 22202).

We are three blocks from the Pentagon City Metro Station (blue and yellow lines). If you’re driving, you can park on the street, in the free-to-the-public-on-Sundays lot across Army Navy Drive, or in the hotel’s parking garage—and we have parking payment passes for newcomers at our welcome table.

Come up to the Lobby (2nd) floor, and you’ll see our signs and our welcome table, right outside the Washington Room where we meet.

Meeting schedule for 2019

Sunday Service begins at 11:00am at the DoubleTree Hotel in the Washington Ballroom on the lobby floor. We periodically meet at another hotel when DoubleTree cannot accommodate us. Location changes will always be listed on our Home Page. You can also check the right hand corner of our website under Sunday Time & Location for a quick glance of the current week’s meeting room and kids’ room locations.

The Key Bridge Marriott  is located at 1401 Lee Highway in Arlington. Our main meeting room is in the Potomac Ballroom and the children’s classrooms will be located on the 3rd floor. There is complimentary parking available in their garage. The metro is located 0.3 miles away and is walking distance to the hotel.

What to Expect

How to Dress

We dress casually, so feel free to come as you are!

What We Do Together

During our worship, we pray together, sing together, hear stories from people in the church community, speak Christian Scripture together, and hear a sermon based on that Scripture together. We have three goals in our worship:

  1. To encounter God’s Spirit
  2. To Tell the story of God
  3. To be formed to think and love like God does

Can I Participate if I Am New?

We invite you to participat from your heart, even if you’re new (or new again) to Jesus and the church, even if you’re not sure about some things about Jesus, even if you feel like there’s a right way to worship that you don’t know how to do. We invite you to sing with us, pray with us, and listen with us, because God invites us all to these things.

I Have Kids

Great! We have something just for kids (infant to 5th graders) that we call God’s Garden. Our kids meet in age-divided groups on the same floor, right around the corner from our adult worship service. You can read more about God’s Garden here.

Come join us as we hear from one of our new district missionaries on Sunday, February 2nd after service.
