Giving to Great Commission Community Church

Our church and its ministries are made possible through faithful prayer and financial supporters. If you are a member or a regular attender of GCCC, we urge you to consider joining this local community seeking to make a global impact through your giving. Donations may be made by the following methods:

Check

Checks should be made payable to Great Commission Community Church, and can be placed in the offering plates during the worship service. Checks can also be mailed to:

Great Commission Community Church
PO Box #2385
Merrifield, VA 22116

Please note that giving envelopes are not necessary for contribution accounting. Checks are recorded on the postmark date on the envelope.

Cash

Cash donations can be placed in the offering plates during the worship service. To receive tax credit for a cash gift, the cash should be placed in an envelope with your name and address on it so that we can properly record the contribution.

Credit and Debit Card

To contribute by credit or debit card via PayPal, click on the button below.

Please note and consider that credit & debit card donations incur an approximate 2.2% processing fee that is paid by GCCC. As defined by IRS regulations, the giver gets tax credit for their full donation.

E-Check (Electronic Funds Transfer)

If your bank has automated bill paying, you can set up Great Commission Community Church to receive electronically generated checks, allowing you an easier way to be systematic in your giving.

Appreciated Securities

You can donate appreciated securities, such as stock and mutual funds, and often times receive a greater tax benefit than you would receive as compared to selling the appreciated securities and then donating cash. Donations of appreciated securities are recorded as a charitable gift at the appreciated amount. Also, by donating appreciated securities you can avoid recording a capital gain in the security (assuming the investment has appreciated and that you have held the asset for more than one year). You should check with a tax professional before initiating any transfer of securities.

To contribute stock or mutual fund assets, or to inquire about other planned giving options, please contact the church treasurer for specific instructions at treasurer@greatcommissioncc.org.

The Orchard Foundation, a fiduciary ministry of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, also offers services, tools, and guidance on gift planning.

Refund Policy

Online contributions to Great Commission Community Church are considered to be non-refundable. The refund policy for specific events is determined according to the nature of event. The event refund policy is posted within the event registration form.

Great Commission Community Church is a non-profit tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Donors will receive an annual contribution statement by the end of January for donations made during the previous year.

Please note that GCCC will make every effort to allocate donated funds as you have designated. Nonetheless, as ministry circumstances and needs change, GCCC reserves the right to reallocate funds at its discretion towards the church’s mission.
