Director of Women’s Ministry (Part-Time)

Ministry Position Description:

Seeking a worker who will cultivate and oversee the spiritual health and growth of the women in the church.

Ministry Qualifications:

  1. Seminary trained
  2. Character
    a. Godly character & spiritual maturity
    b. Strong Marriage (if applicable)
  3. Competencies
    a. Strong interpersonal skills
    b. Good organizational skills
    c. Experience/values counseling
    d. Sound understanding of God’s Word
  4. Able to work in a multi-ethnic and urban setting

Ministry Responsibilities:

  1. Cultivate and oversee the spiritual health of the women in the church.
    a. Cultivate a culture of mentorship and discipleship for the women.
    b. Provide counsel and support to the women in the church.
  2. Oversee the counseling ministry at the church.
    a. Provide oversight for counseling ministry.
    b. Work with the deacon team to provide membership counseling/care when needed.
    c. Provide support during crisis situation.
  3. Potential opportunities to teach in various settings.

Compensation:

Compensation is commensurate upon experience.

Children’s Worship & Youth Ministry Coordinator

Ministry Position Description:

We are seeking a youth worker or ministry student with a heart to see children following Jesus and helping others follow him too. This position has two main responsibilities. The first is overseeing our middle and high school children. We hope the coordinator can establish a disciple-making culture among the youth, provide pastoral care to them, and lead a weekly Bible study and plan other events for them. The second responsibility is leading our elementary school children’s large group time (their worship service). Additionally, the coordinator may lead an age-specific Sunday small group of elementary school students. This person would also help with various church events and meetings.

Supervision:

This position falls under the Family Ministry and this person will work alongside with the Children’s Ministry Director as well as the pastoral staff.

Hours:

Starting Hours: @10/week. 3 hours on Sunday for Children’s Worship, 1.5 hours for Youth Group, 3 hours of prep, 2.5 hours for miscellaneous.

Ministry Qualifications:

  1. Graduated from or enrolled at a seminary
  2. Commitment of at least one year, but two years preferred

Compensation is commensurate upon experience.
