The season of Lent ends and the season of Easter begins over the weekend of April 10-12 this year. As a church, this weekend, along with Advent and Christmas Day, is the high point in our Christian year. This is the weekend we remember Jesus’ death (Good Friday) and resurrection (Easter Sunday). It’s not an impersonal, facts-only remembering we do. Instead, it’s a deeply personal, whole-hearted remembering when we re-experience the impact of his death and resurrection. In a real way, we re-experience his death and resurrection every day of our lives. But we also take this weekend, this anniversary of his death and resurrection, as a chance to solidify that daily re-experience and to honor Jesus, our crucified and resurrected Savior, with deep clarity and focus. We’re doing that as a community at 7:00pm on Friday, April 10, and at 11:00am on Sunday, April 12, with our streamed re-experience and remembrance on our YouTube channel. We encourage you to invite friends to join the stream too, whether Jesus is a new thing or an old thing for them. We trust this will be an encouraging and spiritually rich time for all.
Friday, April 10 — Good Friday Virtual Service at 7:00 PM
Sunday, April 12 — Easter Sunday Virtual Worship Service at 11:00 AM (No Tysons and Arlington service)
