Equipping Day is an all-morning gathering for us to be part of classes that help us minister God’s grace to others, including “least-reached” people. We think of it as a mini-retreat for all of GCCC: a time to be together, learn together, and eat together.
Lunch is included in the registration cost. Childcare for children 10 years and younger is available for a fee upon registration; space is limited, so register your kids early. Children older than 10 years are welcome to participate in the classes. Childcare is not provided during lunch.

SESSION 1 OPTIONS
- Sharing faith in the workplace: This seminar will discuss ways to share our faith in the workplace. Participants will explore practical ways to live out their beliefs, build relationships, recognize opportunities for meaningful conversations, and communicate their faith with wisdom, grace, and respect for others.
- Refugee Simulation: How can we better empathize with refugees?
- DISCLAIMER: This experience is extremely emotionally heavy and, at times, intense. You will be seated for the duration of the simulation and there is nothing physically demanding. If you have trauma related to loss, abandonment, or your own refugee/immigration experience, please be aware that this simulation may be triggering for you. Participants must be at least high-school age.
- Alliance Missions: How can I learn more about what our church is part of?
SESSION 2 OPTIONS:
- Praying for the Least-Reached: The majority of this time will be spent in prayer. We will explore why it is often so difficult for many to pray for the least reached, share helpful practices, and spend time in intercession.
- Worship for Everyone: This seminar will present and consider how our church’s corporate worship experience is accessible to people with diverse personal, religious, irreligious, and other cultural backgrounds. We will talk about why this is a prioritized value for our church and how we both succeed and fall short.
- How to help your kids thrive spiritually: Seminar for parents of kids and teens.
